We have been hearing and have been repeating from childhood the Holy Name of Jesus, but alas, many, very many, have no adequate idea of the great wonders of this Holy Name!

This Divine Name is in truth a mine of riches; it is the font of the highest holiness and the secret of the greatest happiness that a man can hope to enjoy on this earth. Read and see.

It is so powerful, so certain, that it never fails to produce in our souls the most wonderful results. It consoles the saddest heart and makes the weakest sinner strong. It obtains for us all kinds of favors and graces, spiritual and temporal.

Two things we must do. First of all, we must understand clearly the meaning and value of the Name of Jesus.

Secondly, we must get into the habit of saying it devoutly, frequently, hundreds and hundreds of times every day. Far from being a burden, it will be an immense joy and consolation.

No one can deny the troubled times we live in… it is scary out there… worried about what will happen next. I’d like to share with you how my view of our God has expanded over these last few days. It all began with an email from a friend about 'the cross in our bodies'. I wanted to find out more about it and found on You Tube a video series of Louie Giglio talking of ‘the cross in our body’ as well as the immensity of the universe and how that translates to “How Great is our God”

I'll never be the same again. Maybe some of you know Louie's teaching, I didn't, I am so thankful I watched these and that He has expanded my view of Him. We have a God who is so GREAT!!!

From the Spoken Word Album, "The Chaplet of Divine Mercy", Angelina traveled to Krakow, Poland then on to Lagiewniki Sanctuary of Divine Mercy where she met with the Congregation of Sister's of Our Lady of Mercy. Angelina's favorite place to have visited, Lagiewniki is filled with love and peace. A person can meditate and pray as they walk the grounds of this enormous area. The Basilica is truly magnificant with the tabernacle in the shape of the world.

We were to spend six (6) days of filming in Poland. It was our first stop of a three (3) week work schedule. I had spent over a month gathering different outfits appropriate for the filming of Angelina's videos. Upon arriving only one small hand held suitcase came off the baggage conveyor. Once over the shock that by no means our luggage was showing up in Poland, I looked around at the beauty and a peacefulness came over me and I began to say over and over to myself "Jesus, I Trust In You". What better time to put my fears and sadness into His hands. Angelina never once showed any anxiety. She was only 15 years old and again reminded me to have more faith and not to worry. We were able to break away for a time and go to the nearest mall. The clothes that Angelina is wearing in this video and "I Can Only Imagine" were from Poland.

I was not an accident, for God knew me before I was conceived, knew me as He formed me in my mother’s womb and he has a plan for my life just as He has a plan for each of us. This I am sure!
As I’ve looked back over my life, I’ve reflected on the fact that my maternal great grandfather was a Methodist minister, his daughter, my aunt, married a Presbyterian minister, his son, my grandfather’s step-family were Mormons; now on my father’s side I had cousins who were Baptist ministers and I was raised in the Episcopal Church. My church history has been very Ecumenical and really am not surprised that God brought me into The Catholic Faith…
I am a convert and Saints have become apart of my prayer life. I've been asked questions about the “Saints” and how I accepted praying to them, asking them to pray for my intentions. For me, it is no different then asking my family, my friends, my prayer group to pray for me… asking them is a powerful way to lift my prayers to Jesus. The more I read about their lives, their walk with God the more I learn about my walk and how to live my life. St Joseph is my patron Saint and this is a little about what I’ve learned from his life.

The Bible pays Joseph the highest compliment: he was a "just" man. The quality meant a lot more than faithfulness in paying debts.
When the Bible speaks of God "justifying" someone, it means that God, the all-holy or "righteous" One, so transforms a person that the individual shares somehow in God's own holiness, and hence it is really "right" for God to love him or her. In other words, God is not playing games, acting as if we were lovable when we are not.
By saying Joseph was "just," the Bible means that he was one who was completely open to all that God wanted to do for him. He became holy by opening himself totally to God.
The rest we can easily surmise. Think of the kind of love with which he wooed and won Mary, and the depth of the love they shared during their marriage.
It is no contradiction of Joseph's manly holiness that he decided to divorce Mary when she was found to be with child. The important words of the Bible are that he planned to do this "quietly" because he was "a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame" (Matthew 1:19).
The just man was simply, joyfully, wholeheartedly obedient to God—in marrying Mary, in naming Jesus, in shepherding the precious pair to Egypt, in bringing them to Nazareth, in the undetermined number of years of quiet faith and courage.

Comment:
The Bible tells us nothing of Joseph in the years after the return to Nazareth except the incident of finding Jesus in the Temple (see Luke 2:41–51). Perhaps this can be taken to mean that God wants us to realize that the holiest family was like every other family, that the circumstances of life for the holiest family were like those of every family, so that when Jesus' mysterious nature began to appear, people couldn't believe that he came from such humble beginnings: "Is he not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother named Mary...?" (Matthew 13:55a). It was almost as indignant as "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" (John 1:46b).

I use this prayer for myself and when I pray for others who need healing in themselves. It is a powerful prayer!

Dear Lord Jesus, please come and heal my wounded and troubled heart. I beg you to heal the torments that are causing anxiety in my life. I beg you, in a particular way, to heal the underlying source of my sinfulness. I beg you to come into my life and heal the psychological harms that struck me in my childhood and from the injuries they have caused throughout my life.

Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you—by the merits of the great open wound in your heart—to heal the small wounds that are in mine. Heal my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.

Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my wounded and troubled heart.

Heal, O Lord Jesus, all those intimate wounds that are the root cause of my physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart.

SYMBOLS OF CHRISTMAS…

Just a week before Christmas I had a visitor. This is how it happened.

I just finished the household chores for the night and was preparing to go to bed when I heard a noise in the front of the house. I opened the door to the front room, and to my surprise, Santa himself stepped out from behind the Christmas tree. He placed his finger over his mouth so I would not cry out.

"What are you doing?" I started to ask him. The words choked in my throat, as I saw he had tears in his eyes. His usual jolly manner was gone. Gone was the eager boisterous soul we all know. He then answered me with a simple statement, TEACH THE CHILDREN!

I was puzzled: What did he mean? He anticipated my question, and with one quick movement brought forth a miniature toy bag from behind the tree. As I stood there bewildered, Santa said, "Teach the children! Teach them the old meaning of Christmas. The meaning that a now-a-day Christmas has forgotten!"

Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a FIR TREE and placed it on the mantle. "Teach the children that the pure green color of the stately fir tree remains green all year round, depicting the everlasting hope of mankind. All the needles point heavenward, making it a symbol of man's thoughts turning
toward heaven."

He again reached into his bag and pulled out a brilliant STAR. "Teach the children that the star was the heavenly sign of promises long ago. God promised a Savior for the world, and the star was the sign of fulfillment of that promise."

He then reached into the bag and pulled out a CANDLE. "Teach the children that the candle symbolizes that Christ is the light of the world, and when we see this great light we are reminded of He who displaces the darkness."

Once again he reached into his bag and then removed a WREATH and placed it on the tree. "Teach the children that the wreath symbolizes the eternal nature of love. Real love never ceases. Love is one continuous round of affection."

He then pulled out from his bag an ornament of HIMSELF. "Teach the children that Santa Claus symbolizes the generosity and good will we feel during the month of December."

He reached in again and pulled out a HOLLY LEAF. "Teach the children the holly plant represents immortality. It represents the crown of thorns worn by our Savior. The red holly berries represent blood shed by Him."

Next he pulled out a GIFT from the bag and said, "Teach the Children that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift. Teach the children that the wise men bowed before the holy babe and presented Him with gold, frankincense, and myrrh. We should give gifts in the same spirit as the wise men."

Santa then reached in his bag and pulled out a CANDY CANE and hung it on the tree. "Teach the children that the candy cane represents the shepherd's crook. The crook on the shepherd's staff helps bring back strayed sheep from the flock. The candy cane is the symbol that we are our brother's keeper."

He reached in again and pulled out an ANGEL. "Teach the children that it was the angels that heralded in the glorious news of the Savior's birth. The angels sang 'Glory to God in the highest, on earth, peace and good will.'"

Suddenly I heard a soft twinkling sound, and from his bag he pulled out a BELL . "Teach the children that as the lost sheep are found by the sound of a bell, it should bring people to the fold. The bell symbolizes guidance and return."

Santa looked at the tree and was pleased. He looked back at me and I saw
the twinkle was back in his eyes. He said, "Remember, teach the children
the true meaning of Christmas, and not to put me in the center, for I am but
a humble servant of the One who is, and I bow down and worship Him, our
Lord, our God."

GOD Lives Under The Bed I think this is perhaps one of the BEST email 'forwards' I have ever read. I hope you will enjoy it half as much as I have!!
Don't start reading this one until you've got a minute to just 'scan' over it. It deserves some time for reflection.

GOD LIVES UNDER THE BED

I envy Kevin My brother, Kevin, thinks God lives under his bed. At least that's what I heard him say one night.
He was praying out loud in his dark bedroom, and I stopped to listen, 'Are you there, God?' he said. 'Where are you? Oh, I see. Under the bed...'
I giggled softly and tiptoed off to my own room. Kevin's unique perspectives are often a source of amusement. But that night something else lingered long after the humor. I realized for the first time the very different world Kevin lives in.
He was born 30 years ago, mentally disabled as a result of difficulties during labor. Apart from his size (he's 6-foot-2), there are few ways in which he is an adult.
He reasons and communicates with the capabilities of a 7-year-old, and he always will. He will probably always believe that God lives under his bed, that Santa Claus is the one who fills the space under our tree every Christmas and that airplanes stay up in the sky because angels carry them.
I remember wondering if Kevin realizes he is different. Is he ever dissatisfied with his monotonous life?
Up before dawn each day, off to work at a workshop for the disabled, home to walk our cocker spaniel, return to eat his favorite macaroni-and-cheese for dinner, and later to bed.
The only variation in the entire scheme is laundry, when he hovers excitedly over the washing machine like a mother with her newborn child.
He does not seem dissatisfied.
He lopes out to the bus every morning at 7:05, eager for a day of simple work.
He wrings his hands excitedly while the water boils on the stove before dinner, and he stays up late twice a week to gather our dirty laundry for his next day's laundry chores.
And Saturdays - oh, the bliss of Saturdays! That's the day my Dad takes Kevin to the airport to have a soft drink, watch the planes land, and speculate loudly on the destination of each passenger inside. 'That one's going to Chi-car-go! ' Kevin shouts as he claps his hands.
His anticipation is so great he can hardly sleep on Friday nights.
And so goes his world of daily rituals and weekend field trips.
He doesn't know what it means to be discontent.
His life is simple.
He will never know the entanglements of wealth or power, and he does not care what brand of clothing he wears or what kind of food he eats. His needs have always been met, and he never worries that one day they may not be.
His hands are diligent.. Kevin is never so happy as when he is working. When he unloads the dishwasher or vacuums the carpet, his heart is completely in it.
He does not shrink from a job when it is begun, and he does not leave a job until it is finished. But when his tasks are done, Kevin knows how to relax.
He is not obsessed with his work or the work of others. His heart is pure.
He still believes everyone tells the truth, promises must be kept, and when you are wrong, you apologize instead of argue.
Free from pride and unconcerned with appearances, Kevin is not afraid to cry when he is hurt, angry or sorry. He is always transparent, always sincere. And he trusts God.
Not confined by intellectual reasoning, when he comes to Christ, he comes as a child. Kevin seems to know God - to really be friends with Him in a way that is difficult for an 'educated' person to grasp. God seems like his closest companion.
In my moments of doubt and frustrations with my Christianity, I envy the security Kevin has in his simple faith.
It is then that I am most willing to admit that he has some divine knowledge that rises above my mortal questions.
It is then I realize that perhaps he is not the one with the handicap. I am. My obligations, my fear, my pride, my circumstances - they all become disabilities when I do not trust them to God's care.
Who knows if Kevin comprehends things I can never learn? After all, he has spent his whole life in that kind of innocence, praying after dark and soaking up the goodness and love of God.
And one day, when the mysteries of heaven are opened, and we are all amazed at how close God really is to our hearts, I'll realize that God heard the simple prayers of a boy who believed that God lived under his bed.
Kevin won't be surprised at all!
When you've read this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is powerful.

Thank You, God, today, I turn to You in gratitude for Your grace. I offer You a prayer of thanksgiving. Thank You, God, for the grace of Your peace that I feel in my mind and heart, even in the midst of outer turmoil.
Thank You, God, for the grace of stilling my thoughts and calming my
emotions. Thank You, God, for Your grace that helps to transform, renew, and uplift my thoughts instilling me with ever-renewing life.

Thank You, God, for the grace of total well being, which includes healing and sustaining strength. Thank You, dear God, for the grace of my marvelous body temple. I thank You that radiant life permeates every cell and courses through every vein and artery of my being.

I found this wonderful audio streaming reading of the New Testament and have been immersing myself in the Word. It is so powerful to hear the Bible being read as a drama, from the first book of Matthew through the book of Revelations. I'm on my second hearing and have found that as I listen, it is like there are times when a part of the scriptures is emblazoned, big bold phrases, in my heart. This was true when I was listening to Luke 24... Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Then the song came into my mind...

I am what I am

At times, I feel stuck in old habit patterns, and I’ve found myself focusing on thoughts about myself that lead to limiting actions. I know the grace of God has set me free to live a healthy n’ full life. Jesus died for me and for each of us as if we were the only person on earth. At times it’s hard for me to know, to believe that someone loves me that much. But Jesus does/did, hanging on a wooden cross, and as He died He said… “It is finished!”

I’ve often thought about what these words really mean; now mind you I’m no theologian, just a woman on a journey, seeking Truth.

"Alone and in silence, I present the whole of my being to God. To say; "Here I am," is to place at his disposal the unique creation he has made. It is to give him this body, with its weaknesses and strengths; this mind, with its confusion and clarity; this heart, with its hardness and pliability. To say, "Here I am," is to offer him the talents he has entrusted to me, using them to their fullest potential. It is to follow him wherever he leads, to stand ready in all situations to be his servant. To ready myself for such a commitment I have to become accustomed to frequent occasions when I stand peacefully and quietly before the Lord - alone and at the same time at one with him. In this aloneness I try gently to quiet the many voices that besiege me in the pressures of daily life in order to listen to his voice in the depths of my being. Outer silence may be sought to foster inner stillness, but it is not necessary. The closer I grow to God, the more I am able to be with him in all circumstances. Whenever he calls I am able to say: "Here I am."

I've been going through some pretty rough times, especially spiritually... just a constant battle, struggling to know the Truth within me. And I have been aware of Jesus with His arm around me... just as in this video... helping me, one step at a time, that I may finish this race.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12:1

Prayer for Whole Body Wellness

Greetings,
I want to share a part of my healing journey... using this prayer video and others from Prayer America. I have fibromyalgia, which has limited, my living the life I know that God so desires for me. And I've been on a journey, researching ways to take better care of my body through whole-body health care and prayer... this passage of seeking God's guidance in my life has led me in a direction of healing.

This past month my friend, Sandy, gave me several books written by Dr. John Sarno M.D., on healing the body, healing the pain. After reading one of his books, I had an idea of doing a prayer experiment and now for about three weeks I've been praying using the videos, as well as reading Dr. Sarno's books. The first week or so the pain intensified, I could barely walk... but now, today, I've noticed a remarkable decrease in the pain and a feeling of well being in my body.

Dr. Sarno's books has given me a new insight into the responsibility I have for taking care of the body God has given me. I hope this will help you...

Healing Prayer for the Gulf of Mexico

Dr. Masaru Emoto, the scientist from Japan who has done all the research and publications about the characteristics of water and how, among other things, water physically responds to emotions, has proposed a prayer for the Gulf situation.

Right now, most of us have the predominantly angry emotion when we consider what is happening in the Gulf. And while certainly we are justified in that emotion, we may be of greater assistance to our planet and its life forms, if we sincerely, powerfully and humbly pray the prayer that Dr Emoto, himself, has proposed.

"I send the energy of love and gratitude to the water and all the living creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and its surroundings. To the whales, dolphins, pelicans, fish, shellfish, plankton's, corals, algae and all living creatures.....I am sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."

We are not powerless. We are powerful. Our united energy, speaking this prayer daily...multiple times daily....can literally shift the balance of destruction that is happening.

We don't have to know how......we just have to recognize that the power of love, God, is greater than any power active in the Universe today.

Greetings,
God is working wonders in his children as you can see in this video that as Carlos sings "God of Second Chances", a homeless man Danny, joins in with him and sings praises to our Lord.

This chorus is taken from a book of Puritan prayers.
Those guys wanted something extra.
Something I don't quite understand. Or didn't.
Until I met Danny.

Danny is a homeless guy in Atlanta who happened to walk up on me while I was shooting the EPK for my new record.
I was singing the song God Of Second Chances.
Danny walks up, kneels down starts crying puts his hands up in the air
and sings.

If you listen carefully at the end you hear me saying this to Danny.
"Keep trying to make it man."

He looked me square in the eye cocked his head sideways with a confused look on his face and said,
"Trying to make it? No man. I aint trying to make it Im making it. Jah puts His soldiers everywhere. Jah says, Yea though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death So He places some of us, in that valley."

How Great Is Our God

The Chaplet of St. Michael the Archangel

In my search to learn more about St. Michael and the other
angels I ran across the story behind the chaplet.By praying
the chaplet we show a wonderful way to honor this
great Archangel along with the other nine Choirs of Angels.
In my understanding of "Choirs of Angels", God has created
several orders of Angels. Sacred Scripture shows us nine such
celestial bodies; Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominions,
Powers, Virtues,Principalities, Archangels and Angels…
(Isa. 6:2, Gen. 3:24, Col.1:6, Eph. 1:21, Rom. 8:38).
There may be more groupings but these are the only ones
that have been revealed to us. The Seraphim is believed to be
the highest Choir, the most intimately united to God, while
the Angelic Choir is the lowest.

St. Michael’s Chaplet dates back to a devout Servant of God,
Antonia d'Astonac, who had a vision of St. Michael. He told
Antonia to honor him by nine salutations to the nine Choirs
of Angels. St. Michael promised that whoever would practice
this devotion in his honor would have, when approaching
Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each
of the nine Choirs. In addition, for those who would recite the
Chaplet daily, he promised his continual assistance and that
of all the holy angels during life.

O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father...

Say one Our Father and three Hail Mary’s’ after each of the following

nine salutations in honor of the nine Choirs of Angels.

* By the intercession of St. Michael and the celestial Choir of

perfect charity. Amen.

St. Michael Prayer

When I came into the Catholic Church one of the most powerful prayers I learned is the "St. Michael, the Archangel Prayer." It is changing my life, by praying the St. Michael prayer daily I have come to know that I am not alone in my struggles; that St Michael and all God's angels are there defending us.

"St. Michael the Archangel defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. I am so uplifted, so full of hope n' joy as I continue to read the messages from Anne, a lay apostle. In this message our Mother wants to share God’s joy with us so that we will understand why our work is so important.

My dear consecrated souls, this is what we are
doing. Only instead of removing children, we are
changing the environment. You must assist with
this problem. God is no longer allowing this
choke hold of sin. It is very simple. He has said,
“Enough.” As with every people and every time,
you must come to know the love of your God so
you will not have to meet the wrath of your God.
This is nothing new to you, souls of my heart.
You have heard all of this before. The new part is
the vast amount of grace that God is pouring over
this world to fuel this renewal. That is why you
are going to see your efforts succeed like they have

Entering a New Time

I read this message from Mary, our Blessed Mother and felt a nudge to share it with you. This came from Vol. 3, God Speaks to His Children, from the messages given to Anne, a lay apostle. [Acts 1:7-8]… Jesus says, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority.”… But we are to be aware of the signs of the times [Matthew 24: 3 – 44, Mark 13: 3 – 33, Luke 21: 7 – 36] and to pray for the time when the miracle of souls occurs, for the swift coming of the kingdom of God.
In this message from Mary, our Blessed Mother speaks to her Bishops and priests… she continues giving us a glimpse of the future… as we are aware that the world is changing.

August 9, 2003 Blessed Mother... I talk about fear today. During the time of transition there will be great fear. This fear is the result of the lack of faith that has settled upon this world. Faithful souls need to be told that fear is not going to help the situation and fear will make people respond in panic. What is necessary is calm, a trust that can only be achieved through a daily prayer regime. It is the regime I wish to speak about today. People must be encouraged to attend daily Mass. In this way they can pray both for their own safety, and for the swift coming of the Kingdom of God. Daily Mass is one part of their plan for remaining recollected. Another part is prayer in the home. I believe the family rosary must be encouraged in every home. It is this daily rosary that binds and directs the family. I can protect a family that prays in this way. When a family does not pray, it becomes more difficult to see that they remain united and pointed toward heaven. Please, encourage this. I also want to say that the Sacrament of Confession must be dusted off and re-instituted. I do not speak of group confession at this time. I have nothing to say about that except that each soul must meet with a priest, the representative of my Son, Jesus, in order for the sacramental graces to be obtained. This is necessary for each soul to be a receptacle of the vast amount of grace available to the world at this time and in the near future. If a soul has not received this sacramental grace, they will not feel the peace I intend to make available. The peace given will be a deep and consuming peace which will eradicate fear and place confidence and joy in each heart. Do you want this for your people? Then you must see that they begin my regime of prayer. Time will not go backward, but forward, and the plan has been committed to. I’m afraid we must enter the storm, my dear sons, but we do so together. In an extraordinary way, heaven is joined to earth and the souls dwelling in each existence will work as one to bring about the New Time. Our plan is perfect. My Son is poised to return. Spend your energy now on preparing His people.

Remember, with God there is no time, yesterday, today and tomorrow are the same to him. This world, so in need of cleansing, is approaching the moment for which many have pleaded. Wake up sleeping giants! That's us, Christians... we need to be in prayer and work, we need to live one word ... Hope!

I have felt as we struggle through these tragic times of evil that covers the world that we need to be united in prayer. We know that Jesus has already won... Praying the scripture Isaiah 65 is a strong way for us to pray for Divine Intervention now.

The Dream of the Three Stops

I read this this morning and thought how wonderful our Lord is... He speaks to us in so many ways. Dreams are a strong way of communicating, giving us hope... I remember so many of my dreams where hope was given to me, hope that gave me the strength, the guidance to move on with my life.

On the second Sunday of October of that year (1844), I had to tell my boys that the Oratory was to be transferred to Valdocco. But I was really uncertain and puzzled about the how and the who of the new location. The night before, I went to bed with a troubled heart. That night I had another dream, which seems to complement the one I had in Becchi when I was about nine years old. (...)

I saw myself in a dream among a multitude of wolves, goats and kids, lambs, ewes, sheep, dogs and birds. Together they made so much noise, such a terrible racket, or rather, such an infernal roar to inspire terror in the bravest. I wanted to flee, when a Lady, beautifully dressed with the appearance of a shepherdess, beckoned me to follow and accompany that strange flock, while she walked on ahead.

We went wandering through various places, and we made three stops: at each stop many of the animals changed into lambs, whose number was constantly swelled. After walking for a long time, I found myself in a meadow, where the animals hopped about and ate side by side, without attempting to bite each other.

Thoroughly exhausted, I wanted to sit down beside a nearby road, but the shepherdess invited me to continue on. After walking a little further, I discovered a large courtyard surrounded by a covered gallery at the end of which was a church. There I found that four fifths of the animals had now become lambs. Their number kept increasing considerably.

At that moment, several young shepherds came to watch them, but they remained just a short time and left at once. Then something wonderful happened. Many lambs turned into young shepherds who, now in greater number, were now taking care of the others. The number of shepherds kept increasing greatly, so they parted, and went elsewhere to shelter other strange animals and guide them to other sheepfolds. (...)

A Letter to the Editor...

A good friend of mine sent to me a letter her husband wrote to our local newspaper . The morning he wrote it he woke up with these words burning in his heart. Can we not make this into a prayer for our country... O America !

LETTER TO EDITOR

My wife and I were talking to a young man who returned from Iraq this spring and said he may be going to Afghanistan. We thanked him for his service and said “God bless you”. He looked up and said very clearly “Merry Christmas”. This made me think: what is he fighting for?

Today we have all kinds of vulgar and pornographic expressions under the “Freedom of Speech” & “Freedom of Expression” First Amendment. However, the “political correctness police” have discouraged saying “Merry Christmas” for years now because it may “offend” someone. As many of you know, a democracy is supposed to be run by the majority of its people-not the minority that may object! There was a large minority that objected to the Revolutionary War, they were called “Tories”, but the majority of Americans wanted Freedom and that is what we got.

It is said, “All it takes for evil to thrive is for good people to do nothing”. Please pray for the soul of our wonderful Country, be Patriotic, freely express our Age Old sayings such as: “Merry Christmas”, “In God We Trust”, and “God Bless America”!

No one will arrest you----------Yet.

"One Nation Under God."
This simple phrase, added to the pledge of allegiance over 50 years ago has been the source of unbelievable debate and heated controversy. Likewise, the phrase 'In God We Trust' on our currency has been targeted and continues to be attacked as improper and politically incorrect. Lawsuits have been filed and legal minds employed to ascertain whether such statements violate the concept of 'separation of church and state'.

As this debate continues, some so called experts have implied or concluded that our Founding Fathers and Patriots were not religious. These secular champions, in an effort to further their own causes, have even painted these great men and women from our history as being devoid of religious passions or even a belief in God. This is a part of their strategy to remove any discussion of God from the public forum.

These men and women were passionately religious and saw the hand of God all around them. To God they gave Thanks for His Hand in the founding of this great nation. To Him, according to their own testimony they turned for wisdom and strength when life and liberty hung in the balance. Certainly the debate on separation of church and state will continue. But no one can dispute how our Founding Fathers and Patriots felt about God. The record is clear!

JESUS... THE HOLY NAME...

I received this newsletter from Medjugorje this morning and after reading it through, I felt a need to blog it...

Our Lord tells us that in our weakness will be His strength...
After reading this newsletter to the very end, I felt so weak... What could I do?
I began by saying YES to Jesus... then I started praying His Holy Name over n' over again. St. Paul tells us how to do this... "Whatever we do in word or in work, do in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ." There is infinite power in His Name... "In the Name of Jesus every knee shall bend in Heaven, on Earth and in Hell." from "The Wonders of the Holy Name", by Fr. Paul O'Sullivan. I really believe we need to be calling upon Jesus... then step out to do whatever he is calling each of us to do.

A Very Important Christmas Read
From A Medjugorje Perspective

With Thanksgiving inaugurating the beautiful season of Christmas, there is much for which to be thankful. But as we reflect upon these things, there is a very disturbing growth in our culture that also calls for our reflection. This disturbing growth is happening not only in our nation, but in all the nations of the earth, with the prevalence of abortion now making fertile ground for the also very real abortion by the "Mother Culture" of its Christ Child. Today, everywhere we look we see a struggle against that little Infant known to the world as Jesus. Even at His birth, more than 2,000 years ago, the government wanted Him dead and thought nothing of killing the children of Bethlehem because of Him. He was their cause of action. The effect of the cause was the slaying of the innocents by the government. Through the centuries the "cause," of wherever His name was announced, resulted in the "effect" of millions being persecuted and martyred for this Name. JESUS. Despised by the world at His birth and even until now, despised at the very mention of His Name. Yes, there were ages where His followers flourished and yes, much of the world was Christianized. But ever present in the ages have been the failures of Christians to live in fullness the faith of Christ. This weak living of the Christian life results and allows the effect of the rise of hatred against Christians. However, an unwritten principle would then take over. As the weakness of Christians reaches a certain point, the "cause" (weak Christian living) changes places with the effects (persecution and martyrdom), reversing the results, and Christians become strong again living in fullness the Christian life through the purifying effect of the persecution. In other words, when Christians do not live their faith, their enemies are emboldened and begin persecuting those who profess their faith in Christ. The persecution results in strengthening the Christian. This cycle “merry-goes-around” throughout the ages. It’s the principle of "the blood of the martyrs is the seed of Christianity." You may acknowledge that severe persecution and martyrdom is a reality in India, yes, in China, yes, but not in our country. Do you think severe persecution and even martyrdom cannot happen in this nation or other free societies?

On a daily basis, we are seeing more and more the disturbing trend of "Mother Culture" aborting centuries of what the Christ Child brought to the world and built up in Christian nations. Every vestige is quickly disappearing. Very disturbing, indeed, extremely alarming is what the U.S. Supreme Court recently gave in a judgement on November 16, 2009. The fact that makes this even more grievous is that six of the Supreme Court Justices, which makes more than a majority, are Catholic. What did they do?

When Brittany McComb was chosen as one of three valedictorians to give the graduation commencement speech at her high school in June 2006, she wrote of her achievements and failures. But she mentioned that her true fulfillment and satisfaction was when she came to experience something greater than herself. That which gave her this fulfillment was Jesus Christ and God's love. When Brittany was chosen for this honor, the high school placed no restriction on any mention of faith or Christ’s Name. However, school officials, upon reviewing Brittany's speech, edited out three Bible verses within her speech, as well as "the Lord" and the word "Christ." Brittany knew her First Amendment right of free speech was in clear violation and she, therefore, made the decision to give her original speech at the graduation. She felt clearly it was her right to say that it was her Christian faith that formed her character that led to the honor of being chosen valedictorian of the school. School officials and their attorneys threatened her, saying that if she spoke any of the phrases that they had struck out, they would cut off her microphone.

As the 400 students gathered for the ceremony, plus their families and guests, many were aware of the tensions. As Brittany began her speech, school officials stood over the control board as vultures, as in the days of Stalin, in alert mode of censorship, listening for the despised Name, "Christ," and any reference thereof. They would not tolerate the Name of Jesus Christ being mentioned.

As Brittany stuck to her original speech and began to stray from the school’s edited version, they cut her mic before she could mention the Name of Christ. Immediately, the students stood up and booed and jeered in support of Brittany, protesting the school officials, yelling at them, "Let her speak." ¹ The uproar, negative reaction and backlash certainly unnerved the officials, but their fear of the Name of Jesus and Brittany's Christian convictions trumped the fear of the backlash of the large crowd. School officials held fast. Brittany spoke without a mic and officials came to her to stop and tell her to announce the next speaker. Many classmates expressed their support and admiration for her. Brittany said the day after her June 15, 2006, speech:

"All of my classmates came up to me and were so happy. They told me they loved me." ²

Brittany was not surprised by the censorship, saying:

"Even in the Bible it says that the name of Jesus will be hated." ³

Brittany, understanding this principle, none-the-less was very surprised of the flagrant violation of her right of free speech according to her opinions. Attorneys for the Rutherford Institute filed a First Amendment lawsuit in federal court in defense of free speech and Brittany's right to profess her faith in Jesus Christ in a public address as valedictorian of her school. Her attorney John Whitehead said:

"What happened to Brittany should not happen in a country that prides itself on promoting freedom. This is a clear case of censorship and discrimination and an egregious violation of free speech as protected by our First Amendment." ⁴

Lacking confidence the school would win, the school’s tactic was to have the case dismissed. With common sense, the Nevada Federal Court rejected the school’s attorney's request to dismiss the suit stating, "the lawsuit raises substantial claims of infringement of Brittany's right of free speech." ⁵ The school, determined to stop the Name of Jesus from ever being used, then appealed for a dismissal from California’s very radical Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, known for their ruling against the verbiage in the Pledge of Allegiance, "One nation under God," and its aggressive attacks on traditional marriage. Belligerently, the Ninth Circuit Court ruled against Brittany, in favor of the school’s illegal censorship. The Rutherford Institute appealed the case to the U.S. Supreme Court. The Supreme Court, which is two-thirds Catholic, in what was a clear case with great implications, on November 16, 2009, incredibly and alarmingly refused to hear the case. In doing so they, thereby, affirmed the 9th Circuit Court judgement approving the school's action to censor Brittany McComb's speech by cutting it off at the Name of Jesus. It is a disturbing, astounding decision by judges who are lawyers who no longer know the law. Nine judges, most of whom profess to be Christians, who no longer know the Christ. Nine judges who no longer know God’s Word. Who is Jesus Christ? The Light of common sense. The Word became flesh. Jesus is the Word of God. Our Lady said:

"…God’s ‘Word’ which is…the light of common sense."

The courts and the culture no longer have common sense because they reject Jesus. Common Law is no longer understood nor upheld. By Common Law alone, Brittany's right to speak was law since the United States' founding. This is a devastating judgement against Christ. Where are the pulpits across the land ringing out, rallying the hearts of the Christians? Are you not, O Christians, disturbed at such silence? And yet, we have little hope that this outcry will ever come from our pulpits. Or when it does, it will be too little, too late.

Do you understand what is happening to Christ?

He is being aborted!

What then, will happen to Christians?

If we do not take a stand while we are able, we too, will be aborted! You think not? In the same message above, of December 2, 2007, Our Lady said:

"…Is my Son, your God truly in the first place? Are His Commandments truly the measure of your life? I am warning you again. Without faith there is no God’s nearness…"

In other words, God removes Himself from man when man does not seriously put Him in the first place in their lives, not only in their homes, but in the life of the culture. William Yates wrote of what happens when the proper order of things breaks down. He writes:

"Things fall apart—the center cannot hold—mere anarchy is loose upon the world." ⁶

The proper order of things happens when God is "truly in the first place." When He is rejected, the center cannot hold because He is the center. In the time that Christ walked the earth, the apostle Peter, with the change of events that led Jesus to His Crucifixion, turned on Jesus Christ Himself, even cursed Him and denied Him three times! Many in the crowd who had followed Christ believed in Him, even honored Him with palm branches as He came into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, but in the next moment, they became part of the crowd yelling, "Crucify Him!" Do you not know, O Christian, that if you wear His title Christian, what they are now doing in rejecting His Name in this modern day, what they will soon do to you? From one moment to the next. Yes, your friend, your neighbor, just like Peter, just like the crowd, can change in a moment. It is Our Lady who said:

"…Holy martyrs died witnessing: I am a Christian…"

But, we live in the United States of America or another Christian rooted country! If those whom Jesus healed, those whom Jesus loved turned against Him, what makes you think there will not be those yelling for your martyrdom, even among those you have always thought of as civil? What would happen if different circumstances developed in the culture, if there came a time of anarchy? Things quickly progress to a tipping point. In the book, The Tipping Point, by Malcolm Gladwell, Gladwell writes of an experiment involving normal, stable people who were placed in certain circumstances that changed their behavior from one moment to the next. They became totally radical, different people. Think of how many "normal" people looked the other way to what Hitler did, and then they even began to walk with him? Gladwell, in his book tells of the experiment:

"In the early 1970's, a group of social scientists at Stanford University, led by Philip Zimbardo, decided to create a mock prison in the basement of the university’s psychological building. They took a thirty-five-foot section of corridor and created a cell block with a prefabricated wall. Three small, six-by nine-foot cells were created from laboratory rooms and given steel-barred, black-painted doors. A closet was turned into a solitary confinement cell. The group then advertised in the local papers for volunteers, men who would agree to participate in the experiment. Seventy-five people applied, and from those Zimbardo and his colleagues picked the 21 who appeared the most normal and healthy on psychological tests. Half of the group were chosen, at random, to be guards, and were given uniforms and dark glasses and told that their responsibility was to keep order in the prison. The other half were told that they were to be prisoners. Zimbardo got the Palo Alto Police Department to “arrest” the prisoners in their homes, cuff them, bring them to the station house, charge them with a fictitious crime, fingerprint them, then blindfold them and bring them to the prison in the Psychological Department basement. Then they were stripped and given a prison uniform to wear, with a number on the front and back that was to serve as their only means of identification for the duration of their incarceration.

The purpose of the experiment was to try to find out why prisons are such nasty places. Was it because prisons are full of nasty people, or was it because prisons are such nasty environments that they make people nasty? How much influence does immediate environment have on the way people behave? What Zimbardo found out shocked him. The guards, some of whom had previously identified themselves as pacifists, fell quickly into the role of hard-bitten disciplinarians. The first night they woke up the prisoners at two in the morning and made them do pushups, line up against the wall, and perform other arbitrary tasks. On the morning of the second day, the prisoners rebelled. They ripped off their numbers and barricaded themselves in their cells. The guards responded by stripping them, spraying them with fire extinguishers, and throwing the leader of the rebellion into solitary confinement. "There were times when we were pretty abusive, getting right in their faces and yelling at them," one guard remembers. "It was part of the whole atmosphere of terror." As the experiment progressed, the guards got systematically crueler and more sadistic. "What we were unprepared for was the intensity of the change and the speed at which it happened," Zimbardo says. The guards were making the prisoners…march down the hallway, in handcuffs, with paper bags over their heads. "It was completely the opposite from the way I conduct myself now," another guard remembers. "I think I was positively creative in terms of my mental cruelty." After 36 hours, one prisoner began to get hysterical, and had to be released. Four more then had to be released because of "extreme emotional depression, crying, rage, and acute anxiety." Zimbardo had originally intended to have the experiment to run for two weeks. He called it off after six days. "I realize now," one prisoner said after the experiment was over, "that no matter how together I thought I was inside my head, my prisoner behavior was often less under my control than I realized." Another said: "I began to feel that I was losing my identity, that the person I call (his personal name), the person who volunteered to get me into this prison (because it was a prison to me, it still is a prison to me, I don’t regard it as an experiment or a simulation…)was distant from me, was remote, until finally I wasn’t that person. I was 416. I was really my number and 416 was really going to have to decide what to do."

Zimbardo's conclusion was that there are specific situations so powerful that they can overwhelm our inherent predispositions. The key word here is situation. Zimbardo isn’t talking about environment, about the major external influences on all of our lives. He's not denying that how we are raised by our parents affects who we are, or that the kind of schools we went to, the friends we have, or the neighborhoods we live in affect our behavior. All of these things are undoubtedly important. His point is simply that there are certain times and places and conditions when much of that can be swept away, that there are instances where you can take normal people from good schools and happy families and good neighborhoods and powerfully affect their behavior merely by changing the immediate details of their situation." ⁷

The social scientist, Zimbardo, said, "What we were unprepared for was the intensity of the change and the speed at which it happened." The same thing happened in a flash 2,000 years ago when the Hosanna crowd, a few days later, became accomplices to Christ’s martyrdom. Do we not recognize the signs of the times? Our Lady said:

"…this is a time of grace…"

We have the grace now, the hope now, to change our situation. Do we not recognize we can change our direction, just as the city of Nineveh did in the Bible, before it's too late? But have we waited too long, now that we are beginning to be silenced? Pulpits must ring out truth now!! The unrighteous way, being lived by many Christians, must stop now! The call for holiness must prevail now. Then with power, then with conviction, we can stand and say NO! NO! to the courts, you cannot rule over the natural order. NO! you cannot redefine marriage. NO! your abortion laws are invalid.

But what if we do not? What if we do not change? What if we Christians do not stop divorces amongst ourselves and denounce this scourge of marriage? What if we continue to accept or at least tolerate abominable, sinful lifestyles? Then beware, O Christian! You shall be put to the test! Will you have the courage to pronounce and profess the Name of Jesus Christ, the test being, not by having your microphone cut off for saying Jesus, but by having your head cut off? Oh, you say that cannot happen. Oh, but back to you, it has always happened. When Christians grow weak, when they cease to convict the unrighteous because they themselves live as pagans, when through the hardness of their hearts they cannot be convicted of their sins, they will be thinned out to prove who are the real Christians and who will become apostates because they do not have the spiritual fiber to stand for Christ. And by this cause of weak Christians, it will bring about the effect of those who will wear the robes of red, won by martyrdom, and it will be they who will have the joy of bowing before the little crib of He who bears the Name of Jesus Christ!

May this Christmas be one of reflection, of change, of living the way of the life of conviction. At this moment kneel down, confess weakness, profess Jesus! Ask Him to convict you to change you.

Heaven Speaks to Those Who Suffer from Financial Need Part 1

I have been introduced to a holy movement through the messages of Anne, a lay apostle has with Jesus, our Lord, the Blessed Mother and many Saints. Anne has recorded them in sweet little volumes which you can buy or download them from her web home, Direction for Our Times (read her introduction) Anne receives a new message from Jesus, on the first of every month, about His call to service and she has received permission from the Catholic Church to present these messages. I have begun my journey through them and have found hope, and encouragement to embrace my crosses and persevere. There is great guidance n' direction through these readings and by saying "YES" to Jesus, I am drawn into a closer relationship with Him.

I am going to post videos of Dr. Mark Miravalle as he speaks to Anne a lay apostle - these were recorded in May of 2009, and they speak to one of the worlds greatest concerns... those who suffer from financial need. Just watching these videos and being open to hear the words has begun a shift in my attitude about my needs, my finances. I encourage you to set some time apart to watch each video; I will be posting 6 videos from this concern...

God and Money

"Read each Thursday the Gospel of Matthew, where it is said: 'No one can serve two masters.... You cannot serve God and money." Let these words burn in your heart...

Matthew 6:24-34 : No man can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other or be attentive to one and despise the other. You cannot give yourself to God and money. warn you, then: do not worry about your livelihood, what you are to eat or drink or use for clothing. Is not life more than food? Is not the body more valuable than clothes?
"Look at the birds in the sky. They do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? Which of you by worrying can add a moment to his life-span? As for clothes, why be concerned? Learn a lesson from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work, they do not spin. Yet I assure you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these.
If God can clothe in such splendor the grass of the field, which blooms today and is thrown on the fire tomorrow, will He not provide much more for you, O weak in faith! Stop worrying then, over questions like, 'What are we to eat, or what are we to drink, or what are we to wear?' The unbelievers are always running after these things. Your heavenly Father knows all that you need.
Seek first his kingship over you, his way of holiness, and all these things will be given you besides. Enough, then, of worrying about tomorrow. let tomorrow take care of itself. Today has troubles enough of its own.

Are we going to believe that Jesus rules or not?

These words of Jesus carries so much hope that it was such a knock on the head for me as I realized the power and the promise in them. I'm beginning to see that whatever happens, it is better to trust in God than to try to control situations by my own will. Repeat again n' again the Holy Name of Jesus... Jesus... Jesus...

This little book is a powerful little book to increase your faith and in opening yourself for an increase in seeing your prayers answered. It has mine, I can't thank God enough for bringing into my life. The words burned within me as I read the words that Fr. O'Sullivan wrote... and they continue to burn as I constantly reread this little book.

My prayer life has grown to be a global call to pray...

One of my prayers calls me to envision my country [mine is the United States] with the words "Culture of Life and Love" emblazoned across the country and see the light of God covering my nation and moving beyond it's borders. I repeat over and over, again and again the name of Jesus... Jesus...Jesus...

There are nights when God wakes me about 3 a.m. and I am in prayer... repeating... Jesus...Jesus...Jesus...

God always reveals to me, at one time or another, why I'd been in prayer.

God calls us to pray for one another...

Lectio Divina

I’ve found this ancient practice of Lectio Divina a very meaningful way to read n' pray the Bible. By reading slow, in this contemplative prayerful manner the passages open up; like peeling an onion... reveling layer after layer, giving me a deeper insight to the meaning of the Word.

Red Shirt Fridays

A friend sent me this message and I want to share it with you all. My oldest son is now stationed in Italy and this message just spoke to my heart and for all mother's whose children are serving for our country... for Freedom!

I'm not about war AT ALL but I am about supporting these young people that believe in what they are doing, and very grateful to that kind of character in our young men and women.

Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine

Sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together…

After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in First Class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home.

No, he responded.

Heading out I asked?

No. I'm escorting a soldier home.

Going to pick him up?

No. He is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq; I'm taking him home to his family.

The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. It was an honor for him. He told me that, although he didn't know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldier's family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days.

I turned back to him, extended my hand, and said, “Thank you, Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do.”

Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having Sergeant Steeley of the United States Marine Corps join us on this flight He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then turn off the seat belt sign."

Without a sound, all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane, and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American.

So here's a public Thank You to our military Men and Women for what you do so we can live the way we do.

Red Fridays...

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason?

Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority." We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday ... and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that ... Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women a far, will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, & TV let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once “silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is. "We need your support and your prayers." Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear something red every Friday.

We need to remember what this country was founded on and remain free... a government of the people

After WWI many U.S. soldiers moved to the Californian desert to find physical and emotional healing. In 1934, they erected a memorial to honor their fallen comrades, a single white cross, - a symbol used around the world to memorialize those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The site for the memorial was chosen because at a certain time of day, the sun casts a shadow on the rock which resembles a WWI doughboy. For more than 75 years, the memorial has stood as a reminder that there were those who fought and died for our freedoms. But sadly today, the ACLU and a federal judge in California, want to tear it down. In fact, the judge has ordered the memorial covered from view while the case is on appeal. My Lord Jesus, You were rejected then as the Messiah, because their spirit was not prepared, their hearts were closed and hard, yet You proved to be The Keystone. In our generation, my Lord, the effusion of Your Holy Spirit is also rejected by the 'builders' and yet one day Your Holy Spirit will prove to all of us that He was the Keystone. By denying and suppressing Your Holy Spirit that comes to us as the Reminder, 'the builders' are preparing again their own downfall.

See how former predictions have come true? indeed, I have said that "the Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My Name will teach you everything and remind you of all I have said to you" but I knew all along that only a remnant would listen and return to Me; these very ones who would listen to Me, I shall invest with My Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Insight; yes, I shall invest them with My Spirit of Counsel and Knowledge; and the flickering light that now is left in this world will become a vivid fire...

Father, heal my negative emotions and re-order my passions. Heal the wounds of my body, heart and spirit. In Jesus’ Name I destroy and loose from me every stronghold against the knowledge of God and obedience to Christ. Especially, I come against the strongholds of [Name particular strongholds] and I destroy them in Jesus’ Name. I declare today that my only stronghold is the Lord Jesus Christ and His mighty virtue. I take the sword of the Spirit and in Jesus’ Name, cut and sever all un-holy and unclean bonds between me and any other person, place, organization, activity or thing. Lord, as you remove those unholy bonds, I pray you fill that area where that un-holiness existed with your Holy Spirit in order that I come to know and share in true communion with you and your Church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, through your Son Jesus, fill me completely with your Holy Spirit that I may overflow with your abundant love. Seal me with this same Spirit and anoint me so that, guided with His power, I may aspire today to that which you have purposed for me. I pray that this day I will walk with you as your child in making decisions after your Heart. I pray for uprightness in my relationships with you and others. Father grant me the grace to work with you in bringing into right order my emotions and passions. And give me strength to follow through with firm purpose the plans you lay before me, even in the face of difficulty and trial.

Finally, Father, fill me with gifts from on high –holy fear of offending you, true piety, in my relationships godly fortitude, docility to godly counsel, knowledge to conduct my life aright, understanding and perspective of the way things fit together and wisdom to guide my thoughts, words and conduct.
I sum, I pray that you bring me more into the likeness of your Son, Christ Jesus in all things through the power of the Holy Spirit.
